Glen Campbell: I’m not going to miss you
Before his death in 2017, Glen Campbell had become about as big a musical star as can be. But then dementia hit, and even as performing was one of the last things he forgot, most everything was taken away from him bit by bit. In this song, he shares how the worst wasn’t his to bear – that was going to be on his wife and family – because “I’m not going to miss you.”
A kick in the pants reminder that to dust we will all return (Gen. 3:19). But God’s people can endure even this, knowing that something better waits (John 14:2-3).
