General Manager: River’s Edge

River’s Edge Haven of Hope is a recently established charity situated just outside of Dunnville, Ontario on the banks of the Grand River. We are seeking to offer a unique natural environment for people of all ages and walks of life to discover and grow in their journey with Jesus Christ through authentic mentoring relationships.

General Manager (Full-Time)

You must be an energetic leader who is passionate about building others up through the love of Christ in a farm-based environment. With a committed board of directors supporting you, this exciting opportunity will allow you to shape the implementation and future of this organization. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

The main objectives of the General Manager will be:

  1. To monitor the support and care for attendees of River’s Edge
  2. To provide leadership for all staff working for River’s Edge
  3. To represent River’s Edge in a positive manner at all times
  4. To ensure that the organization meets legal requirements
  5. To develop policies consistent with the organization’s mission and values
  6. To provide care and leadership in developing and teaching horsemanship skills


  • Must lead an exemplary life holding fast to the Christian faith. Must be an active member and in good standing with a church that adheres to reformed biblical principles.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge required in working and caring for horses.
  • A Bachelor’s or College degree, preferably in Health, Social Services, Management, Education and Leadership or other related field of study.
  • A minimum of three years working experience in the social services or a related field.
  • A profound interest and a desire to work with youth, disadvantaged, and the developmentally disabled.
  • Exceptional organizational and computer skills and ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and deadlines are required.
  • Passionate about sharing the hope of the gospel with all members of the community.
